You Are The Black Dot Seed of Intention is dedicated to Kalief Browder, a young man whose life was stolen by injustice, but whose story continues to awaken a deep call within me. After watching his documentary, I made a promise to him, and to myself that I would use my art not only as creation, but as medicine, grounding, and guidance for those who feel unseen and unheard.
Kalief’s struggle revealed the urgent need for spaces where our youth can reconnect with themselves, their breath, and the living world around them. If an opportunity had been approved to secure a retreat for meditation, the embrace of nature, and the wisdom and sanctuary of trees, I believe his fear of life could have softened into courage for living.
This seed carries that promise forward. It is a talisman of grounding and identity. It is a reminder that even when the world tries to strip us of our worth, we can return to the black dot, the center of our being, where our true power lives.
Through Seeds of Intention workshops, I offer what Kalief was denied: tools for self-awareness, rooted presence, and the freedom to design one’s own life. His story compels me to stand in my truth, and to help others do the same.
Am I my brother’s keeper? Yes, I am.
And through this seed, I honour Kalief’s legacy by nurturing the nature within every soul who holds it.
